Dah lama tak cerita pasai sukan. Harian Metro pun dah tak banyak coverage Piala Malaysia. Mana lagi sumber cerita up and down bola sepak tanah air??? Nasib baik Ananda Astro buat Astro Arena (801)... so adalah sikit coverage bola sepak Malaysia.

Aku dengan jayanya berjaya menghabiskan perlawanan bola sepak Piala Malaysia live kat tv setelah sekian lamanya... walaupun housemate aku nak layan drama Asmara kat tv3 tu, aku berjaya membuat rampasan remote dan pura2 tak tahu mana remote itu.

So sinopsis aku dari game ini:
"Game agak rancak mula2. Mungkin player masih ada stamina. Kemudian Kedah leading 1-0. Lepas tu main macam taik. Berkampung dalam kawasan sendiri. Dari al-Hafiz, sampai la Bad dengan Muhymeen. Main defensive mengalahkan Inter Milan dah.

Lepas tu apa lagi, keeper cekup biawak terlepas gol sengal. Haddoi.......... seri 1-1.

Then dengan kuasa magik yang datang dari mana ntah, tiba2 player2 Kedah ada kudrat dan iradat untuk menyerang kembali... dapat lagi satu gol chemey. Kerana defend Terengganu lembik.

Lepas tu semua pakat duk berkampung, lagi kampung dari Naka dan Nami. Maka Kedah pun bolos lagi...... Seri 2-2.... "

Kamon la Kedah, kalau ya pun main kat tempat lawan, bukan bererti kita kena defensive. Apa nak takut? "Lawan tetap lawan" - quote from DSAI zaman reformasi dulu....

Apa yang aku perasan, Kedah punya tactical macam tu dari zaman trebel. Masa tu kalau dapat kat Hugging dan kawan2, mesti tembak bola pi naik atas.... dengan harapan Marlon Alex James berada di kawasan sekitar ataupun ihsan defend lawan yang bongok tahan bola bagi kat Marlon. Maka disaster la jawabnya pasukan lawan. Itu pun kalau angin Marlon elok. Kalau angin monsoon mai, merapu jugak. Maka zaman tu Pak Long lebih relax di kawasan midfield sebab midfield tak banyak fungsi sangat.

Sekarang, midfield hidup sikit. Itu pun "tekoh-tekoh" (sekali sekala) saja.

Point aku, Kedah kena terus menyerang. Bukan cikai striker Kedah. Dari Muhymeen, Badrol, Faizal suma sempoi. Azmi Muslim yang defend pun boleh buat gol. Apa nak takot???

Tapi mid field Terengganu nama Joseph tu memang rajin. Baguih dok ada.... Musim depan mai Kedah mai... Danok pun dekat... ahahhaah

Politik mana lagi baik untuk negara????

Makin hari, keadaan politik di Malaysia makin parah. Pemimpin politik lebih bergumbira tepuk tangan sama2 dengan isu2 dalam negara yang terlebih sudu dari kuah. Lebih sensasi dari improvisasi. Kerana apa? Kerana mereka sukakan benda2 sensasi untuk menaikkan nama sendiri.

Ke mana arah kemajuan negara?

Nak buat bangunan? - membazir

Nak buat jambatan? - membazir

Nak kurang subsidi? - zalim

Minyak ikut pasaran? - penipuan

Tingkatkan industri pelancongan? - membazir - ramai rakyat masih miskin

Tingkatkan industri pertanian? - kronisme la, seleweng la...

Galakkan pembangunan IT? - Rakyat akan terdedah dengan perkara negatif

Biasiswa? - Racism

Beli kelengkapan tentera? - Membazir+seleweng

WTH???? andai ada 1 usul kerajaan, semua akan dibangkang dan disensasikan sampai tak boleh buat apa. Bagi ahli politik, duit kerajaan yang ada hanya boleh digunakan untuk menambah subsidi untuk kurangkan beban rakyat.

Masihkah kita ingat zaman Tun Mahathir nak bina Putrajaya. Itu adalah pembaziran yang terbesar. Macam2 tohmahan dilemparkan. Sekarang, semua parti politik tergedik2 nak ke putrajaya. Sebab apa? sebab close minded. suka sensasikan isu dan cintakan populariti atas nama sebuah perjuangan.

Isu Minyak?

- Mereka kata keuntungan yang dikaut Petronas perlu dilambakkan kembali kepada sekelian rakyat marhein. Subsidi minyak perlu ditambah untuk mengurangkan beban rakyat.

Persoalannya sampai bila rakyat akan terus bergantung kepada subsidi minyak sedangkan dalam masa yang sama Malaysia sudah pun menjadi pengimport minyak. Simpanan minyak negara cuma mampu bertahan sehingga 2016. Ke mana arah tuju kita selepas itu? Kayuh basikal dan kayuh sampan?

Isu subsidi gula dll.

- Sampai bila rakyat perlu bergantung kepada subsidi begini? Gula subsidi juga diguna secara komersial. Di kedai2 makan. Malahan diseludup dan disembunyi penyangak yang suka meraih keuntungan membuta. Rakyat? cuma tahu berteriak dan salahkan kerajaan. WTF?

Mana kuasa konsumer kita? Boikot saja pemborong dan peruncit yang penyangak!!! Tapi rakyat kita lebih suka berteriak dan melolong kerana teriakan itu sensasi. Dan ada golongan popularis yang suka mensensasikan isu. Kita memiliki kuasa untuk bertindak.

Isu biasiswa dan hak istimewa bumiputera.

- Ini isu yang sangat suka disensasikan. Perkara yang sudah termaktub di dalam perlembagaan itu tidak perlu diusik. Yang gagal adalah penyampaian dan pelaksanaan perlembagaan itu. Ini polemik politik yang suka disensasikan oleh politikus tua. Yang muda rasanya lebih menghormati perlembagaan itu. Hak setiap orang yang bergelar rakyat Malaysia tidak boleh diusik. Kerana ia bakal mengundang musibah. Apa yang penting, mana2 golongan yang memerlukan bantuan, haruslah dibantu. Itu bukan tugas kerajaan semata2. Golongan yang sudah kaya raya, korporat, jangan pejam mata. Menjadi tanggungjawab sosial seorang insan untuk membantu insan yang lain yang memerlukan.

Isu korupsi dan rasuah.

-Usah bicara yang besar. Awak tu kalau kena tahan polis, polis nak saman; adakah ayat "setel cara lain" keluar? Adakah awak turut memberi kalau polis itu meminta? Adakah sikap dan kehidupan harian anda tiada langsung unsur rasuah? Ubah diri sendiri dulu sebelum mengkritik orang lain.

-Birokrasi haruslah diminimakan. Ini menyusahkan.

- Penguatkuasaan harus ditingkatkan. Mana2 pihak berkuasa yang terlibat dalam korupsi dan rasuah, bagi hukuman gantung. Kerana golongan inilah yang menjadi parasit negara.

Survey yang dijalankan oleh Merdeka Center yang telah pun disiarkan media semalam menunjukkan 72% golongan muda di negara ini tidak berminat dengan isu politik.

Jadi? Ahli politik tak reti2 nak berhenti sensasikan isu lagi ka? Kurangkan kontroversi, tingkatkan prestasi. Pergi buat kerja, dan tunggu pilihanraya orang sokong awak.

Wahai rakyat Malaysia, kita singkirkan saja ahli politik yang banyak bercakap dan sensasi lebih dari berkerja.

Saya sokong lesen judi bolasepak!!!!

Saya dengan hati terbuka menyokong usul kerajaan untuk meluluskan lesen judi bolasepak.

Yes, ini pandangan saya. Ok, jangan jadi orang bodoh dengan dengan mengkafirkan aku atau menjahilkan aku. Orang waras mesti berfikir sebelum bertindak. Orang yang taksub dan mengkhinzir buta it bodoh.

Aku nak tulis pasal benda ini so orang boleh baca "Betting - on the other side".

Industri Pertaruhan Bola Sepak berlesen mencatatkan keuntungan kira2 US$2 Billion ketika Piala Dunia 2006 di Germany.
Pertaruhan Bola Sepak tanpa lesen dianggarkan meraih hampir US$100 Billion sepanjang Piala Dunia 2006. Dan industri pertaruhan haram ini mampu meraih US$1.3 Billion pada setiap hujung minggu perlawanan Liga di Eropah. Oh ya, dan bookie2 haram ini majoritinya berpengkalan dia Asia. Tahukah anda apakah kesan pengaliran keluar ringgit sebegini kepada ekonomi negara? pengaliran ringgit dalam pasaran matawang antarabangsa akan mengakibatkan susut nilai ringgit yang akan mengundang musibah kepada ekonomi negara. Sudah terlalu banyak ringgit mengalir keluar dari negara kita dek kerana lambakan pendatang asing yang tak pernah berkurangan. Saban tahun berbilion ringgit mengalir ke Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, China dan negara lain. Orang akan cakap, kerajaan perlu tangani masalah ini! Poorah!!! Tanya mat gian bawah jambatan pun tak mau kerja angkat bata bina bangunan. Nak salahkan sapa?

Apa masalah lesen judi? Isu Moral? "Semua agama melarang berjudi".
Islam mengharamkan judi. So lesen ini tidak akan mendatangkan kesan kepada umat Islam. Nak tanya sikit, kalau anda terlihat seorang berpakaian baju melayu di kedai sport TOTO, apa tindakan anda? Geleng kepala? Ambil gambar, pos kat fesbuk, komen ramai2? Report Polis? Cekup mamat tu dan pukul beramai2? Tarik mamat tu dan suruh dia bertaubat dengan segera? atau tanya mamat tu apa nombor luck hari ini?

Jadi, dengan adanya lesen pertaruhan, kita dapat mengawal berbilion ringgit dari mengalir keluar negara. Kerajaan dapat mencegah penipuan melalui illegal online betting. Kenakan cukai yang tinggi untuk pemilik lesen itu. Hasil cukai itu disalurkan kembali untuk pembangunan bola sepak tempatan yang macam hidup segan mati tak mahu. Sebab apa? Sebab kurang sponsor la... apa la... (dah kaki bangku macam2 alasan pulak). Guna untuk pembangunan rakyat!

Kos untuk mengendalikan sebuah pasukan liga super melebihi RM 1 juta. Tahukah anda, sebahagian dari kos ini ditampung oleh dana FAM. Kan bagus dana itu diperuntukkan untuk pembangunan bola sepak pelapis.

Sekali lagi aku ulang, yang tergedik2 berpiket anti judi tu mostly Islam. Berapa ramai penyokong DAP, MCA, MIC yang bersorak anti judi? Berarak membantah judi? Aku tak cakap non muslim ni sokong judi, tapi mereka tak pula turut riuh berarak membantah lesen judi.

Alasan: Kerajaan bagi lesen judi = kerajaan judi! Ulama parti itu pun judi!

WTH??? Dan aku nak tegaskan, kelulusan lesen judi itu bukannya bermaksud menghalalkan judi! Tidak akan ada logo "Dijamin Halal" oleh Jakim dalam resit judi itu nanti. Kerana lesen judi itu tidak akan mengubah hukum haram berjudi. Jadi, lesen judi tidak ada kaitan dengan halalnya judi. Lesen judi itu membolehkan orang yang bertaruh secara haram selama ini boleh bertaruh di dalam negara. Orang Islam tetap diharamkan berjudi. Tidak ada kaitan dengan kesucian Islam. Islam tetap suci.

Awak yang bising mengkafirkan dan menjahilkan orang yang menyokong lesen betting ni ada buat pinjaman? pinjaman islamik ka konvensional? konvensional kan riba? haram atau tidak? Ada beli insurans? islamik ka konvensional?Islam itu agama yang mudah. Janganlah memperjudikan agama dengan nama politik secara membuta tuli.

Kepada yang telah berjudi, gunakanlah cara yang sah dari segi undang2 kerana online betting akan memusnahkan ekonomi negara.

Alasan: kita tak mahu ada budaya judi bola. tak mahu anak2 muda terdedah dengan judi bola.

Come on, everytime bukak soccernet, skysports, espn, the sun, namakelabbola.com pun, bersepah2 promosi betting yang wujud. Jadi ia bukan persoalan pendedahan lagi. Dunia terbuka di luar sana. Didik lah anak2 anda betapa jijiknya perbuatan berjudi. Pantau anak2 anda. Sudikah anda memantau anak2 sendiri?

Kalau Najib announce "saya luluskan lesen judi, dan hasil cukai judi ini akan digunakan untuk membiaya pembelian konsesi lebuhraya. jadi kita berharap tiada lagi tol di lebuh raya"
Pergh... konpem orang beratur sokong punya. ahahahaha tapi jangan risau, tetap ada golongan yang suka berarak di tengah kuala lumpur. (boleh amek gambar letak dalam fesbuk "perjuangan mesti diteruskan" poorah).

Tugas kerajaan membangunkan negara bukan bererti kerajaan perlu spend duit beli beras dan suapkan kepada semua rakyat. Pembangunan perlu pelaburan bagi memastikan negara mempunyai pendapatan berterusan.

Hapuskan rasuah!!! Hapuskan kebocoran wang negara.

Boring : Sapa nak berjudi???

Cerita politik dah makin semak la..... orang politik kat Malaysia ni dah takda kerja lain dah ka? Judi pun nak jadi berita besar. Macam nak gadai negara dah. Poodah!!! Sikit2 nak buat demonstrasi. Lepas tu nak pi demo, cari jalan tengah2 Kuala Lumpur. Jalan tutup, jem sekampung... Menyusahkan orang.. Pelancong pun lari.... Kalau dah anti judi sangat pergi la bawak penggemar demonstrasi tu berbas2 pi ke Genting Highland. Awat tak berani pulak? Lepas tu duk jaja parti, persatuan dan budi pekerti masing2. Yang pulun sangat nak demonstrasi tu pak2 lebai pulak. Adoi... hangpa tu boleh berjudi ka? Ada kaitan dengan judi? Yes, Islam haramkan umatnya berjudi full stop. Itu tanya anak buah aku pun dia kata "berdose, nanti Tuhan marah." Tapi lesen tu untuk orang Islam berjudikah???

Apa beza kalau ada lesen dengan tiada lesen Judi bola sepak itu? adakah masyarakat Cina/non muslim lain (ntah2 Melayu pun ada jugak) tidak berjudi??? - bukan semua ya... sebilangan yang established gambler sahaja. Apakah signifikan dengan mengadakan lesen judi bola sepak?

Pihak media, blogger dan masyarakat, mintak tolong jangan guna "menghalalkan" judi. Pelik betul bunyi tu macam makanan halal pulak bunyinya. Aku prefer "membenarkan" walaupun aku rasa dengan adanya lesen itu, orang berjudi dengan "beradab". Macam lesen memandu. Kalau lesen memandu itu tidak wujud, aku rasa orang ramai masih boleh memandu kenderaan. Betul tak? Bila dah ada lesen, ada undang-undang, peraturan yang mesti dipatuhi. Baru memandu dengan adab2 yang ditentukan. Kalau masih ada yang memandu tanpa lesen, tangkap dan dakwa. Kalau dah gelap, bawak kereta laju dan tak mau berhenti lagi, silap2 boleh kena tembak dengan polis. Haa.... takot woooo....

Berbalik kepada cerita lesen judi. Yang puak2 Melayu dan Islam tergedik2 sangat membesarkan isu judi ini sebab apa? Aku tengok yang duk protes tu banyak yang Islam dari bukan Islam. Melenting tak tentu arah. Bukan kerajaan memberi label "Dijamin Halal" untuk umat Islam berjudi pun. Itu hanya untuk orang bukan Islam berjudi. Itu pun kalau mereka nak berjudi la. Betul, bukan semua Cina/India/Iban/Kadazan berjudi. Jadi, yang tak berjudi tu tak payah la nak berjudi. Bukan kerajaan paksa untuk mereka berjudi pun.

Kalau macam Kelantan yang dah memang xda pusat judi atau Magnum, Sport Toto dan suku sakat yang lain. Make sense la kalau nak bangkang sebab negeri itu bersih dari judi yang legal. Kalau sabung ayam, judi online tu lain la. Itu illegal. Boleh kena tangkap masuk penjara. Kalau orang beragama Islam yang buat, tunggu la hukuman di akhirat nanti. Kalau Lim Guan Eng betul tak suka judi, do something to close Sport Toto, Magnum dan juga kasino di Genting (bukan Genting theme park, situ ada solero shot. best... ) Buktikan kepada masyarakat kebencian dan kejelekan anda dengan amalan berjudi. Bawak pengikut anti-judi pergi Genting Highland, buat demonstrasi. Bawak pengikut2 taksub anda buat tunjuk perasaan depan Sport Toto, Magnum setiap hari. Pasti memberi impak terus menerus apabila kaki judi tak berani nak mendekati outlet judi tersebut, tokey outlet tak berani nak bukak kedai judi dan seterusnya mendidik masyarakat bahawa judi itu jelek. Itu baru keikhlasan. Itu baru tunjuk perasaan rakyat. Ini yang dikejar tak dapat, yang dikendong berciciran.

Polemik politik murahan sebenarnya tidak akan membawa kemajuan negara langsung. Bukan aku kata judi itu membawa kemajuan. Tidak, tetapi menjadikan lesen judi sebagai satu isu negara dan mengheret rakyat marhaen ke kancah perdebatan isu ini langsung tidak membawa sebarang sumbangan kepada kemajuan negara. Aku rasa masih banyak perkara pokok yang boleh dibincangkan bagi memperjuangkan nasib rakyat yang betul betul memerlukan. Isu ke mana arah ekonomi negara, keterbukaan pasaran dunia, pengapungan nilai ringgit, masa depan industri kecil dan besar negara, dan cabaran dasar globalisasi dunia yang mungkin tak dapat difahami seluruh pelusuk rakyat, tetapi apabila perkara2 ini dihangatkan, ia pasti membuka minda masyarakat seterusnya membawa suatu peradaban baru dalam masyarakat Malaysia. Mak cik, pak cik, atok, rempit, budak U, budak xU dan budak2 semua akan mendapat informasi yang lebih berfaedah berbanding drama politik yang jumud.

Adakah isu pokok yang menjadi tunjang generasi masa hadapan ini tidak sensasi? siapa yang mensensasikan sesuatu isu itu? tepuk dada tanya selera. Ke mana Malaysia yang dulunya gah dengan projek mega? pejuang negara membangun dan dunia ketiga? Mana?

Jangan sampai politik murahan menjadi candu kepada masyarakat lagi. Berubahlah sebelum terlambat. Dunia masih luas di luar sana.

Boring: Keluarga Aminul tuntut Kerajaan, Polis mohon maaf

Macam tu ka yang depa nak? Aku sampai hari ni tak faham apa yang cuba dituntut dan ditegakkan oleh keluarga arwah sekarang ini? Keadilan???? Please justify.

Keluarga Aminul tuntut Kerajaan, Polis mohon maaf

Dari first day cerita ni disensasikan, aku cuba baca dan faham apa yang cuba diangkat dalam semua ulasan dan review oleh media massa dan media cetak. So aku telah membuat satu konklusi terlebih politik dalam cerita ini. Sampai aku tgk posting video press conference pasal kes ini kat link bawah ni.

Rentetan kisah Aminul dari saksi utama.

Secara ringkasnya:
-Arwah aminul keluar tengah malam kejadian sebab nak pi tengok bola di kedai mamak, dia bawak kereta kakak dia, pi amek kawan dia, then nak tolong kawan dia moto rosak, then terlanggar kereta orang, then dikejar mat motor, then dikejar polis, then ditembak polis........

Salah siapa????

Salahkah polis itu? Daripada apa yang aku baca la kan, masyarakat (aku xtau la berapa kerat) menyalahkan polis tersebut sebab telah menembak kepala arwah Aminul yang menyebabkan arwah meninggal dunia. Apa justifikasi polis itu? Polis menyatakan mereka telah mengikut SOP penggunaan senjata api. Polis da menghidupkan siren, tembakan amaran dan tembakan ke tayar kereta itu namun suspek gagal memberhentikan kenderaan. Sampai la tembakan yang meragut nyawa arwah, sampai kereta berhenti melanggar tembok.

Sebahagian masyarakat pulak menerima kewajaran tindakan polis walaupun meragut nyawa seorang kanak2 (kanak2 lagi ka? dah 15 tahun kot. dah boleh bawak kereta dah.)

Jadi kenapa cerita ini disensasikan??? Yes, kalau perkara sama terjadi kat family aku, mungkin aku pun kecewa dan amarah dengan situasi ini. Aku rasa pihak media dan parti politik dah buat kisah ini terlalu sensasi dan naik muak pulak aku tengok. Pihak media dan parti politik lebih mengeksploitasi emosi dan perasaan keluarga mangsa sehingga mempersetankan perasaan pasukan Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) dan jugak keluarga anggota yang bertugas malam tersebut.

Persoalan aku:
1) Apa remaja (aku prefer term ini) 15 tahun, masih bersekolah, buat tengah2 malam buta? Esok awak tu sekolah kot. Town sangat ka kalau keluar tengah2 malam lepak bersama kawan2? Mungkin fenomena lepak di kedai mamak bersosial bersama kawan2 itu dah jadi pemandangan biasa di Shah Alam. Tapi apa budak 15 tahun buat kat kedai mamak tengah2 malam padahal esok awak tu sekolah? Kerajaan negeri dan pihak berkuasa + mak bapak perlu pantau benda ni. Mak bapak take action please. Kerajaan negeri dan parti2 politik, kalau betul nak memperjuangkan nasib rakyat, ambik tindakan please.

2) Yang aku faham, mak dia mintak polis clear nama anak dia sebab berita yang mula2 keluaq mengatakan polis menembak penjenayah. Itu yang aku paham. Tapi media mensensasikan statement family budak ni kata budak ini budak baik. WTH???
-Is this the first time dia curi2 keluar tengah2 malam?
-Curi2 ambil kereta family dan drive ambil kawan pulak...
-Family xperasan ka? pagi keesokan harinya xperasan ka kereta da xdak? n budak tu xpegi sekolah? Di mana struktur kekeluargaan kita? Dulu aku nak pi sekolah mak dengan ayah dah bangun n siapkan breakfast, or siapkan aku nk pi sekolah. Tapi time sekolah rendah la kan... sekolah menengah dah duk asrama, apa nak buat.. uhuuhu
-Bawak kereta xda lesen??? Is this legal? no one comment this in the news!!! Is this his first time? sama jugak kat kampung2, bersepah2 budak2 even yang kaki belum sampai pun duk bawak moto ke hulu ke hilir. Kalau dah jadi macam ini kan dah susah??? Prevention is better than cure!!!

3) Dalam video press statement tu, aku paham saksi utama (rakan arwah) keluar dari kereta dan dibelasah oleh "ramai2" anggota polis. Dan xda sebarang ulasan macam mana budak sorang boleh berjaya melarikan diri selepas dibelasah "ramai2" anggota polis? Come on, macam mana polis boleh terlepas??? Tolong explain please....... Aku mmg wonder sangat2.... Budak tu wakil sekolah acara lari pecut ka? Polis xda inisiatif nak kejar ka?

4)Daripada press conference video, "Why would he assulted in such a manner?" itu soalan lawyer tu. Dan statement lain, "truthful young boy...there was no reversing of the car..." WTF??? budak ni dah jadi hero pulak? Lagi Hero dari KAPOWW....

Respon dari KPN, kes masih lagi dalam siasatan. They will conduct a clean and fair investigation. Ain't that fair enough? Siap ada suruhanjaya khas lagi? So shut the F up and wait for the result. Nak tuntut mintak maaf apa lagi? Kerajaan pun kena? Kerajaan negeri xkena? Tok imam surau xkena mintak maaf ka? Budak itu dalam kariah dia. Mak bapak polis tu xkena mintak maaf ka sebab tak didik anak dia jadik Doktor, tapi end up jadi polis?Ada depa mintak maaf kat owner kereta yang bergesel? kat mamat motor yang eksiden sebab cuba kejar kereta arwah? ada? ada? Tolong la, jangan mendramakan sangat kisah ini. Dan jangan sensasikan sangat cerita ini? Dan rakyat Malaysian jangan suka benda2 sensasi sangat.............

Kalau ada pihak yang terlibat tersinggung, saya mintak maaf siap2. So lepas ni xperlu nak tuntut maaf lagi. Posting ini tak semestinya menjadi gambaran penuh kisah ini, tapi cuma mintak jangan sensasikan benda ini dan pihak bertanggungjawab boleh amek pre-caution action untuk mengelak dari berulang. Yes, kepada semua ya. Pihak polis investigate kat mana kelemahan yang ada. Masyarakat, renung2 balek apa kita sendiri dah betul ka? Is this real????... i heard about mas kahwin increment in Selangor beginning January 1st 2010. from RM 80 to RM 300. I was surfing around and found the article in Mstar online.

Is it real the Mas Kahwin is included with "wang hantaran"? For real?

I dont have confidence in this. RM1000 would sound reasonable for this. I mean to implement Wang Hantaran+Mas Kahwin. Even I am against the normal culture for high "wang hantaran", but I guess combining both for RM300 would be a bit unreasonable. At least let the groom sacrifice and appreciate the relation ship more. But never ever put the future in stake by putting it too expensive. Never ever let a sacred marriage looks like a burden.

Jangan buat panggilan palsu 999

Aritu kan........

Aku call la 999, sebab ada kecemasan. Yang angkat call tu awek. "Cik, cik bawak bertenang yer, boleh saya tahu nama encik...." suara sedap. Aku pun bagitau la nama aku kat dia ~~sambil berkenalan dan bertukar no telefon~~ dan bagi detail yang dia nak. “Baik ya encik, nanti saya sambungkan dengan Balai Polis Alor Setar” sedap suara, bolehla la masuk AF. Kemudian aku pun tunggu beberapa ketika tapi xda orang angkat. Kemudian awek tu cakap, “Cik, nanti kita akan hubungi nombor telefon encik ya”. Aku pun blur sekejap.

Memandangkan situasi yang semakin genting, aku pun call sekali lagi. Awek lain pulak angkat. Kemudian awek tu pun bagitau benda yang sama. Depa akan contact aku balik. Namun awek2 tu tak call aku balik pun. Damn… adakah aku makin xhensem? Atau kena mandi bunga?

Setelah keadaan reda, aku menghantar mangsa ke hospital. Suprisingly, sejam kemudian telefon aku berbunyi. Aku angkat dan ada seorang lelaki cakap. “Saya dari balai polis Kuala Kedah. Cik, macam mana keadaan xxxxx tadi?” Secara sepontan terkeluaq dari mulut aku. “Saya dah on the way ke hospital. Dah sejam kami tunggu, ini baru nak talipon? Bodo betoi..” Lepas letak telefon tu baru aku tersedar yang aku bercakap dengan polis.

Apa yang aku cuba nyatakan di sini adalah kemusykilan aku tentang keberkesanan talian 999. Aku menghargai pengorbanan anggota keselamatan menjaga negara kita selama. Tapi ini kali pertama aku menghadapi situasi kecemasan dan menggunakan talian 999 tu. Aku menjadi saksi keberkesanan khidmat talian 999. Adakah talian itu menghadapi masalah pada malam itu saja? Adakah pihak polis betul betul “Bersih, Cekap, Amanah” seperti papan tanda yang diletakkan di setiap pelusuk negara?

Aku bukannya prejudis, cuba menimbulkan provokasi atau menyebar fitnah. Aku cuma nak kongsi pengalaman aku sebagai seorang pengguna khidmat 999. Mungkin staff yang bertugas sudah cuba yang terbaik untuk membantu aku.

Alhamdulillah, semuanya selesai dengan aman walaupun agak situasi malam itu agak menakutkan. Tapi cuba bayangkan, dalam masa sejam tu, macam-macam perkara boleh jadi. Kesimpulan dari cerita ini, pihak berkuasa silalah tambahkan produktiviti anda. Jangan cerita soal pengorbanan tapi anggota lain yang teruk bekorban, awak tu tumpang nama saja. Bila bab bonus, elaun, berdengung2 mintak tambah elaun, mintak bonus.

Semua orang bekorban dengan cara tersendiri. Aku pun bekorban untuk negara. Aku mengerah tulang empat kerat demi menjana ekonomi negara. Setiap kerjaya mesti ada pengorbanan sendiri. Tapi buat kerja betul2 la. Ini ditujukan untuk si polan yang mengambil masa sejam untuk call aku balek malam tu. Kepada rakyat Malaysia yang gigih bekerja dan bekorban untuk negara, teruskan usaha anda.

p/s: terima kasih buat staff wad/unit kecemasan Hospital Besar Alor Setar kerana sangat efisien dan mesra pesakit (xkan pelanggan pulak kan?). Mereka memang sangat komited. Great job guys. :)

Pasti remuk hati rakyat Malaysia menatap wajah si comel Alia Aiman di muka depan Metro minggu lalu. Aku sendiri tak dapat nak bayangkan bagaimana perasaan ibu kandung Alia melihat anaknya diperlakukan seperti binatang oleh "Jantan Hitam" dari Sudan itu. Apalah yang merasuk ibu (boleh panggil ibu ka?) Alia sehingga sanggup bersekongkol dengan "Jantan Hitam" itu? Kata aku racist? Racist kepala hotak hang!

Aku sendiri tak tahu sejauh mana kebenaran liputan media tempatan, namun aku sendiri pelik, macam mana "Jantan Hitam" itu masuk ke Malaysia sebulan dan boleh tinggal bersama wanita durjana itu? Murah sangat ka si durjana itu? Jahanam sunggoh...

Apa nak jadi dengan masyarakat kita? Aku bukannya racist sangat. Kat opis pun macam-macam kaler ada. Aku tak pernah ada masalah langsung.Bukan sebab keegoan aku sebagai lelaki melayu tercalar sebab tengok perempuan Melayu diheret "Jantan Hitam" atau kaler apa sekalipun. Alah, ada saja kes Melayu dera anak, dan macam2 lagi. Ada saja orang Malaysia berkelakuan lebih kejam. Kenapa perlu di "kalerkan" pulak kes ini.

Pedulik la. Bukan soal ego, jealousy atau dengki. Tapi itu bangsa aku. Orang Malaysia! Sedangkan Indonesia pun marah rakyat dia didera (padahal yang merampok, maling dll ramai saja kat Malaysia ni). Macam macam hamburan nista dilemparkan ke atas orang kita.

Ada orang cakap da taste dia macam tu. Ada yang cakap dunia dah global, Islam pun menggalakkan kita berkahwin dengan nasab yang lebih jauh untuk melebarkan syiar Islam. Tapi bila terjadi perkara sebegini mulalah melenting sana sini. Jahanam betul "Jantan Hitam"!

Aku tak kisah gadis/perempuan Melayu nak kahwin dengan siapa pun. Banyak saja yang end up dengan happy ending. Tapi ingat la, kalau kena cara dan gayanya. Kalau "Jantan Hitam" itu datang bekerja dengan cara yang elok, niat yang elok, semuanya elok. Aku tak rasa ada masalah langsung. Ini datang dengan Visa pelajar, sebulan da dapat tangkap awek tu. Apa cerita?

Pihak berkuasa, bapak2 menteri, mak bapak, lelaki dan perempuan yang tak setuju dengan aku, cuba hangpa pi jalan kat KL malam-malam, tengok area-area Jalan Sultan Ismail, Heritage Row, Jalan Ampang dan port2 club yang masyhur di ibu kota. Tentu dapat tengok "Jantan Hitam" dan putih mengheret awek-awek Melayu ke hulu ke hilir dengan botol Jacks Danial, Chivas dan macam-macam brand lagi di tangan. Bangganya awek2 itu. Mesti dia terasa seperti memandu kereta import yang mewah-mewah. Atau seperti memakai beg tangan atau busana import yang mahal. Atau terasa Hitam itu Keunggulan? atau seperti Perillys, mutu Hitam emas?

Bukan semua Hitam itu jahat. Bukan semua coklat itu baik. Bukan semua kuning dan putih baik.

Bukan semua barang import itu original!!!!!! Belilah barangan buatan Malaysia.

Jahanam punya "Jantan Hitam"!!! Hukum sahaja si "Jantan Hitam" itu dengan si durjana yang bersekongkol dengannya itu.

Ya Allah, lindungilah diriku, keluargaku, guru-guruku, sahabat2ku, serta seluruh rakyat Malaysia daripada petaka seperti itu. Sesungguhnya kanak2 itu seperti kain putih yang suci. Tetapi warna hitam itu sudah merosakkannya.

Pagi tadi aku terima satu berita yang sangat menyayat hati. Jenazah Allahyarham Norazhar bin Ramli yang hilang sejak pagi Ahad lalu ditemui di tepi pantai. Al-Fatihah. Moga rohnya dicucuri rahmat.

~Norazhar/Paad adalah insan yang sangat disenangi oleh semua pihak. Sikap arwah yang sentiasa merendah diri dan penuh dengan senyuman menjadikan arwah sangat disenangi rakan-rakan. Permergian arwah di usia yang muda adalah satu kehilangan besar buat keluarga Ramli. Anak kedua dalam keluarga ini merupakan tonggak utama dalam keluarga beliau.

We will miss him. We will miss his laugh, his smile, his blushing.We love you Paad.

Ya Allah ya Tuhanku, limpahilah rahmat dan inayah buat Allahyarham Norazhar. Ampunilah segala dosanya di bumi ini. Tempatkanlah arwah bersama para solihin. Amin.

I received a shocking news early this morning. My friend, Mohd Norazhar bin Ramli a.k.a Paad went missing this morning around 05.30 AM. Yet, at 4.00 PM still no news from him.

Saya menyeru rakan-rakan, sahabat handai bersama2 mendoakan kesihatan dan keselamatan saudara Norazhar @ Paad. He is a great friend, great brother, a nobel man I would say. A very easy going man. God, we love this man. The whole world love him. Please protect him. Please protect Norazhar.Please protect Paad.

Perkahwinan & Kahwin

Mintak maaf buat kawan-kawan yang merasakan entri ini untuk saya mengisytiharkan tarikh perkahwinan saya. Sampai masa nanti insya-Allah saya akan jemput kawan-kawan semua. Seribu ampun dan maaf buat mak, ayah dan keluarga, buat pejuang-pejuang adat Melayu yang tegar mempertahankan keperkasaan bangsa ini sepuluh jari disusun mungkin kerana entri ini menyentuh anda. Blog ini adalah santai buat saya menulis apa saja yang berada di benak hati kaykaysaja.

Aku juga Melayu. Melayu kampung yang membesar di luar bandar, sekolah luar bandar hingga ke ceruk hutan. Keris adalah cokmar graduasiku. Makanan rujiku tetap nasi walaupun kadang-kadang terpaksa menikmati mee magi. Namun maggi itu tidak sekelumitpun menghilangkan asal Melayuku. Mungkin kerana kebelakangan ini banyak jemputan perkahwinan yang aku hadiri menyebabkan aku tergerak untuk menaip persoalan-persoalan yang bermain di benak fikiranku ini.

Perkahwinan adalah sesuatu yang suci, mulia dan indah pada hakikinya. Diwarnakan pula dengan kepelbagaian adat dan budaya yang kita warisi telah menjadikan perkahwinan sebagai majlis penuh berseri. Islam menuntut umatnya yang berkemampuan untuk mencari pasangan hidup sebagai suatu sunnah yang penuh dengan keberkatan. Perkahwinan adalah suatu medium dakwah bagi mengeratkan silaturahim, serta meneruskan survival umat manusia di bumi ini. Perkahwinan melengkapkan naluri manusia yang ingin berpasangan dan kerukunan ini perlu dihormati dan dipelihara demi ketamadunan manusia sejagat.

Kini di negara Barat, perkahwinan bukanlah menjadi suatu kewajipan kerana mereka mempunyai pandangan tersendiri mengenai hidup berpasangan. Aku kagum dgn rancangan Gene Simmons Family Jewel yang merupakan kisah reality keluarga Gene Simmons, ahli kumpulan rock KISS. Namun tahukah anda bahawa Gene Simmons sebenarnya tidak berkahwin dgn isterinya itu. Menarik kan? Tapi itu budaya mereka. David Beckham pun berkahwin ketika Posh sedang mengandungkan anak pertamanya. Namun, mungkinkah trend ini yang telah menjadi ikutan di Barat akan meresap ke dalam budaya kita? Syukur kita masih memiliki pegangan agama dan budaya yang kuat untuk memelihara kesucian hubungan suami isteri melalui perkahwinan. Sama ada Islam, Kristian, Buddha atau Hindu, perkahwinan merupakan titik tolak dalam perhubungan seorang lelaki dengan wanita.

Dewasa kini, media kerap membicarakan budaya hedonisme yang melanda masyarakat kita. Golongan muda-mudi serta remaja kerap dipersalahkan lantaran keasyikan berhibur dan bersuka-ria tanpa mengira had budaya. Baca saja komentar, sms di dada akhbar dan tabloid kini. “Muak, loya, menjengkelkan” melihat gelagat anak muda yang berpeleseran seperti hilang pedoman. Kalau dulu zaman bapak-bapak, datuk nenek kita, kadangkala kita sendiri mendengar bagaimana mereka berkahwin di usia muda. Ada yang menjejaki jinjang pelamin sejak usia belasan tahun lagi. Semua ini berjaya mengekang kebejatan sosial dari menular dalam kehidupan mereka seharian. Namun kini, anak-anak muda lebih gemar bersuka ria dan berfoya-foya daripada terus menamatkan usia muda dan terus melangkah ke alam perkahwinan. Salah siapa?

Apa yang aku nampak sekarang, institusi perkahwinan masyarakat Melayu kini semakin hanyut dengan trend yang membuta tuli yang jelas akan meruntuhkan ketamadunan Melayu itu sendiri. Tahun ini sahaja cuba kita kira berapa ramai artis yang sudah bercerai berai? Peningkatan ini menandakan keruntuhan institusi perkahwinan di dalam masyarakat kita. Kita juga dapat melihat bagaimana adat perkahwinan Melayu telah mengalami asimilasi budaya sehinggakan majlis perkahwinan mulai sinonim dengan majlis yang memakan belanja puluhan malah ratusan ribu ringgit untuk dijayakan. Apakah ini sesuatu yang sihat. Mungkin ia tidak menjadi masalah bagi mereka yang berkemampuan. Namun jurang ekonomi dan tuntutan masyarakat untuk mengikuti trend ini bakal mengundang padah yang lebih besar. Saya pernah melihat seorang teman terpaksa membuat pinjaman bank hingga puluhan ribu ringgit bagi merealisasikan impian bergelar raja sehari. Apakah ini yang dituntut agama? Islam itu mudah. Dan Islam tidak pernah membebankan penganutnya. Tidak ada sebarang tututan agama bagi mengadakan majlis besar-besaran sehingga perlu berhutang sana sini. Kelak diri sendiri binasa. Itu belum dicampur dengan hantaran, wang hantaran dan persediaan lain lagi. Aku rasa perlu ada pihak mula membuka mata dan berbuat sesuatu bagi menghalang trend yang tidak sihat ini dari terus meracuni bangsa kita. Suatu majlis perkahwinan itu perlu disusuli dengan adat merisik, bertunang, berinai dan pelbagai lagi yang pasti menelan belanja yang begitu besar. Memang la orang selalu cakap, berkahwin ini sekali seumur hidup. Apa salahnya kalau berbelanja lebih sedikit.

Perkara ini salah! Kerana aku nampak ini perkara pokok yang mulai menekan ekonomi bangsa kita. Dari observasi aku yang masih mentah ini, penekanan pihak keluarga dan masyarakat dalam penganjuran suatu perkahwinan ini menjadi duri dalam daging masyarakat kita. Logiknya, anak muda yang ingin menjejak kaki ke alam perkahwinan itu adalah muda, baru mula hendak bertapak dan mencongak masa depan hidupnya sendiri. Kalau dia hendak berkahwin di usia muda, dia perlu bekerja dan membuat simpanan untuk majlis tersebut. Wang hantaran 10 ribu, majlis kenduri 5-10 ribu. Persiapan? Lain lain? Kita perlu mendidik masyarakat kita tentang pentingnya pelaburan masa hadapan. Sesudah habis majlis perkahwinan itu, ke mana arah tujuan mereka. Puluhan ribu sudah habis dibelanjakan. Lebih kronik kalau ada yang terpaksa menanggung hutang bagi membiaya majlis tersebut. Mungkin sebab family aku ramai lelaki jadi aku kurang nampak relevan meletakkan wang hantaran puluhan ribu ringgit dengan perlbagai syarat lain. Untuk apa semua itu? Pasangan muda itu perlukan dana untuk membeli rumah, kereta dan menyediakan persiapan hidup bersama untuk tahun tahun mendatang. Kita perlu mengubah tradisi ini. Budaya ini. Jangan dirumitkan sesebuah perkahwinan itu.

Ini zaman lain. Zaman yang memerlukan kita perlu lebih bijak dan berhati hati dalam berbelanja. Balik semula kepada tuntutan agama. Mas kahwin, akad nikah, majlis kenduri bagi mengisytiharkan mereka sudah mengikat tali perkahwinan. Mudah kan? Tentunya duit puluhan ribu itu anak muda itu dah boleh guna untuk membeli sebuah rumah yang merupakan suatu pelaburan jangka masa panjang. Menggunakan duit itu untuk melabur ke dalam dana yang mampu memberi pulangan 8-15% untuk pelaburan berisiko rendah. Bangsa kita perlu berubah! Kita tak mahu melihat anak muda itu terbeban dengan hutang bank dan interest selepas berkahwin hanya kerana tuntutan budaya yang semakin tidak relevan. Kenapa saya berkata tidak relevan? Kerana adat kita sendiri membunuh ekonomi bangsa kita.

“Pandai cakap. Kalau betul buat la!” Memang aku mahukan perubahan itu. Sumpah kalau aku mampu merubah bangsa kita, akan aku buat semua itu. “Allah tidak akan mengubah nasib sesuatu bangsa itu kecuali mereka yang mengubahnya sendiri.” Pokok pangkalnya usaha. Siapa yang nak menggerakkannya? Ini usaha aku. Aku nampak kita perlu berubah. Bangsa kita perlu berubah. Adat kita perlu dikaji dan diubah. Ini kerana kita berada di bumi kita sendiri. Ego Melayu itu kuat. Sifat “takkan kalah” itu meracuni pemikiran kita selama ini. Persetankan apa sahaja orang lain nak buat. Kita perlu ada pendirian. Ini tidak, kalau jiran sebelah berkahwin dengan catering biasa, kita mesti kena catering selebriti. Jiran kampung sebelah kahwin panggil Alleycat buat persembahan, kita mesti kena panggil Mawi! Kalau anak jiran belajar sampai SPM hantaran kahwin 15 ribu, anak kita lulusan diploma mesti 20 ribu. Eh, anak sulung kita yang ada ijazah itu mesti hantarannya 25 ribu. Ini gila!! Jangan menidakkan perkara ini. Kerana inlah realiti dalam masyarakat kita.

“Alah, nak kahwin pun berkira? Eh, xda duit xpayah kahwin la! Kalau dah demand sangat cari lain saja.”

Bukan itu pokok pangkalnya. Ramai saja yang sanggup bergolok gadai, hutang sana sini semata-mata untuk memenuhi tuntutan adat kita. Saya pernah menyaksikan seorang saudara sanggup menjual rumahnya untuk mengadakan majlis perkahwinan anaknya. Kenapa sampai perlu menjual rumah? Rumah itu asset yang tidak mungkin mengalami depresiasi nilai. Mungkin ramai rasa saya bodoh atau belum matang dalam menilai budaya kita. Tetapi inilah yang berlaku dalam masyarakat kita. Jadi, komentar dan respon anda amatlah saya hargai. Moga-moga kita boleh berkongsi fikiran dan mengutarakan pandangan masing-masing dalam hal ini. Ajaklah saudara mara, handai taulan untuk menilai sejenak pandangan saya ini. Dan setuju atau tidak, tinggalkan komen anda. Mungkin masih ada sudut yang perlu saya lihat untuk memahami keperluan budaya bangsa Melayu ini.

a group of dumb asses who sat at "O" row in hall 8 TGV Sunway for 9.30 pm show. they make a lot of noises and went insane along the show. please do not go for movie after this because you guys dont know how to respect others. we also pay for that movie you sucker. keep your voice low, and keep your story ("eh diorang berlakon kat ofis i la.." , eh diorang berlakon pusing2 kat jalan tu saja la...") at least until you reach home. thank you.

I am a rural school product. Last time, we were only exposed to English language only in English class. I believe it is still the same now. Or may be almost similar. But the thing is, I believe that majority of the students in rural area would never be exposed with English language outside English class. How many of them read English newspapers or other English reading materials? How many of them would speak English with their parent and family?

Children learn better when they are young.

I was so careless along the week. Last nite my manager found my tag (access card) in the refrigerator!!! It was my turn to buy coffee and I kept all the coffee in the refrigerator. I left my access card together with the coffee. Crazy la.....

The day I lost my keys, I took commuter home and I stopped at Subang Jaya station. However Mimmie cannot fetch me there so I decided to take a taxi from there. I asked the taxi driver whether he can go to my apartment, "Yes" he answered. "15 ringgit la..." What? I told him I want to use meter, and he asked me to find another taxi. No choice, so I just hop on that taxi. Along the way that "blood sucker" was talking about National Spirit, Malay unity, bla..bla..bla... Come on dude, you just "pau" your 'own people' and you are talking about unity and nationalism.

Home Sweet Home...

Home is always sweet for me. Home always remind me about my family, the green paddy field, the insects during night, the laugh and tears and all the thing that always make me smile. I wonder how it looks like now. This week's gonna be my first salary at the company. I cant wait to go back to my hometown, meet my parent, and bring 'em to a dinner with my own salary. I already buy the tickets for this weekend. Sorry to my sister and bro-in-law who cannot go back at RM 31.60 one way. Hahahaha.....

I bought the tickets at Petronas Seksyen 7. Feel so lucky coz i didnt have to go to the Shah Alam bus station at sec. 17. It's really convenience coz petronas already provide the service. But something quite uncomfortable in my eyes is, most of the workers at the petrol station are foreigner. I dunno either they're from Bangladeshi or Nepalese or any other country, but the most annoying thing is the customer service there, so bad!!! I mean it. I used to work at a petrol station before, and also in a few customer service fields, so the service at that petrol station i would describe as sucks. First, communication problem. It's really hard to communicate with them. You wont be greeted, and also thanked! (WTF, this is basic in customer service). Dont expect any friendly service from them even if you give them a sweet-loving smile. Second, they work so damn slow.

This is not my first time experiencing this lousy service from foreigner. If you really observe their work, you'll notice not all of them are that hardworking as it has been promoted by most of the employer. For me, it's just an excuse from them. I really dont understand why employers really like to hire those foreigners instead of locals. What is wrong with Malaysians? Who said Malaysians dont want those jobs? Choosy my ass! Employer are just covering their ass. They always come out with a lot of reasons, condemn local people to cover their bank account. FCUK those kind of employers. How many unemployed out there? How many foreigners bringing our "ringgit" to their country? Employers would still have to pay the deposit which costs thousands of ringgit for a foreign worker. But they rather spend those money instead of hiring locals. I wont mind hiring foreign workers if those kind of jobs really need foreign expertise where we can share it with our people. And i wont care if no more Malaysians available to be hired. The fact is there are hundreds of thousands young and freshmen out there doing nothing, lost their confidence, wasting their energy, because or own people denying our own capabilities. What is so special with the foreigners until me ignore our own breed. Government? They would prefer thinking about Mercedes Benz E-class, "who sodomize who", how to cheat the rakyat, how to be rich! Same thing goes to the opponent. Everyone is saving their own ass, manipulating and acting here and there...bla..bla..bla...

Dear Pak Lah, Anwar, Najib, Hadi, Shahrir, Karpal, Kit Siang, KJ, those who are involve in politic, stop the drama. Da nak muntah dah ni!!!!! We know what all of you did! Nothing than "menjaga kepentingan sendiri"! Stop it right now because there are "rakyat", the "real rakyat" who are starving out there, there are rakyat who cannot get the proper education while you are sodomizing the rakyat money. There are families who quarrel about their budget while you are accusing each other. There are someone daughter being cheated by some moron while you're focusing on your "jawatan", your percentage, your son, your wife, your bank account. There are someone's son taking drugs because they got no jobs, and cannot imagine their future. Wake up the leaders of Malaysia. Malaysian feel sick with all of you. FCUK!!! Today i reach my office earlier than before. Why? Because some smart ass guys boil his egg(chicken) in the water heater. Damn.... Usually, early in the morning, i make myself a cup of coffee, and take my breakfast while heating my superbike's engine. But yesterday, i found some white particles inside the water heater. I tried to wash it over and over again and later i realized that it is EGG. Damn!!!!! It smell like...WEKKKKK! I washed it times after times, siap dah samak sertu lagi. But i couldnt get rid of the essence (HANYIR). Damn it! Dont boil your egg using water heater smart ass. Other people want to use it to make coffee dumb ass........

New subsidies only for poor

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will scrap ceiling prices on petrol and
diesel in August, and allow market forces to determine pump prices
after incorporating a new subsidy system for lower-income groups.

In theory, this means when world oil prices go down, it should be
cheaper to fill up at the petrol stations. The current price is about
RM1.92 per litre, among the cheapest in the region.

Given rising crude oil prices at the moment, however, most likely the
average Malaysian will pay more for petrol and diesel, similar to
consumers in Singapore and Thailand. In effect, pump prices could be
more than double the current subsidised prices.

Oil's rise to records above US$130 a barrel has forced governments
across Asia to remove subsidies so that they can continue to have
funds for development and other needs.

In Asia, only Myanmar has slightly lower pump prices than Malaysia,
although sales in Myanmar are rationed to two gallons (9.1 litres) per
car a day.

"There will be no controlled prices. It will depend on global market
prices," Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir
Abdul Samad said after opening the Malaysian Construction Summit 2008
here yesterday.

Shahrir said the cabinet would announce today more details on the new
subsidy programme that will be put in place to help the lower-income
group deal with higher pump prices.

He said possible mechanisms include cash payments to those in need, or
setting quotas.

"At the moment, the more petrol you use, the more subsidy you get.
That doesn't sound like an effective system.

"At the same time, we have to stop smuggling of diesel to the
neighbouring countries," Shahrir added.

As crude oil prices in the international market keep going up, petrol
and diesel at stations are capped at ceiling prices. As a result, the
fuel subsidy keeps on increasing.

If the system is not reformed, the government could end up spending
RM56 billion on fuel subsidy alone this year.

In countries where pump prices are not subsidised, there is normally a
two- to three-week time lag before higher crude oil prices translate
to a hike in prices at the pump.

Other factors taken into account by petrol station operators in these
markets include the exchange rate (since oil prices are quoted in US
dollar), the current or spot price of oil, and tax component of the
respective countries.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported Bank Negara Governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar
Aziz as ruling out using currency policy to tame prices.

"After the government announces what the nature of the changes are to
subsidies and other prices, we will make a comprehensive assessment
(on the effect on inflation)," she said.

"The ringgit has been and will continue to be determined by the
market," she said.

"In so far as the ringgit appreciates, this of course will contain
imported inflation, but the central bank will not use it as a tool of
monetary policy."

The ringgit is up 2.6 per cent against the dollar so far this year.

Scrap support slowly, say economists

KUALA LUMPUR: Economists, non-governmental organisations and consumer
associations came out in support of the government's move to reduce or
even scrap subsidies - but most cautioned that this must be done
gradually.

Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations secretary-general
Muhammad Sha'ani Abdullah said the government could initially limit
the usage of subsidised goods or have a quota.

"If consumers want to use more than the quota, then they will have to
pay the unsubsidised price. This will expose consumers to the actual
price of the goods and the government can gradually withdraw the
subsidies."

Malaysian Employers Federation executive director Shamsuddin Bardan
said if the subsidies were withdrawn abruptly, it would cause a sudden
increase in prices of subsidised items.

"It will create a negative shock to the business sector and consumers.
"The government should provide an appropriate time for the public to
adapt to new prices of goods before completely withdrawing the
subsidies," said Shamsuddin.

President of the Consumers Association of Subang and Shah Alam, Datuk
Jacob George, said the government should block the abuse of subsidies,
looking seriously at the seepage in the distribution system of the
subsidies.

Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia project director Noor
Nirwandy Mat Noordin said the government must reduce expenditure on
grand events before seeking suggestions to reduce subsidies.

"Some unnecessary functions like the launching of events are a waste
of a lot of money."

He said the government also needed to find a way to protect the
middle- and lower-income groups by reducing the subsidies for the
rich.

However, he said the main concern was to tackle the issue of fuel
subsidies by firmly blocking foreign-registered vehicles from
purchasing subsidised petrol and diesel.

Consumers Association of Penang research officer Uma Ramaswamy said
subsidies should be completely removed rather than finding ways to
reduce them.

She said money that was used for subsidies could be used to provide a
more efficient public transport and improve education and health
services.

"More aid can be given to the poor if subsidies are removed. The
government must prioritise the lower-income group," she said.

AmInvestment Bank economist M. Manokaran supports a gradual reduction
of the fuel subsidy.

"Although the government is keen to reduce the subsidy levels in order
to trim the fiscal deficit for the year, we are of the opinion that it
will not be a total removal. A gradual reduction of subsidies would be
most welcome."

He estimated that the new mechanism would probably push up the prices
of petroleum products by as much as 20 to 30 per cent, which is
between 40 sen and 50 sen per litre.

The hike would lead to increased inflation, which reached a 15-month
high of 3.0 per cent in April.

"Based on our sensitivity analysis, a flat adjustment of 10 sen in the
prices of petroleum products in September will push up the
transportation index (15.9 per cent of total Consumer Price Index) by
slightly more than 3.0 percentage points.

"However, with an estimated 50 per cent of the population under the
subsidised scheme, we reckon the first-round and second-round effects
will push up the broader inflation rate by 0.4 percentage point."

If the new scheme involves a 40-50 sen hike, the overall CPI will
accelerate sharply by 4.6 per cent to 5.0 per cent in September, from
the current level of about 3.0 per cent.

Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) president Tan Sri Yong Poh
Kon, meanwhile, said manufacturers were also looking to other items
which are price controlled, like condensed milk.

"If items like these are 'de-controlled', manufacturers don't have to
wait too long to get approval for prices to move."

Yong believes that with almost all tariffs in Asean eliminated when
the Asean Free Trade Area (Afta) is fully realised in 2010, Malaysian
consumers will have increased choices in the market.

Cutting petrol taxes an easy but false response

HIGH oil prices have once again sparked debate over whether
governments in the United States, Europe, and Australia should
suspend, reduce, or eliminate taxes on motor fuels such as petrol and
diesel. Elimination of these taxes, however, would harm the public
more than it would help it.

With oil prices hovering around US$130 per barrel and gasoline prices
in the United States surpassing an average of US$3.79 (RM10) per
gallon, policymakers everywhere, under pressure from constituents,
seem to be reconsidering taxes on petroleum.

American presidential candidates have discussed permanently lowering
federal government taxes on fuel - currently about 18.4 cents on every
gallon - and the House of Representatives introduced three proposals
last month for suspending the gas tax for the summer.

In Germany, Greece, and Italy, lorry drivers have staged strikes to
protest government taxes on petrol.

In Australia and the United Kingdom, farmers and fishermen have called
on their politicians to reduce or eliminate fuel taxes to protect
small-scale enterprises suffering from higher fuel costs.
While the frustration with escalating oil prices is understandable,
lowering gasoline taxes will only increase government deficits and
encourage waste and higher prices.

First, government taxes on petrol, diesel, and other motor fuels often
directly fund much-needed transportation infrastructure.

Abolishing the federal petrol tax in the US, for instance, would cost
the government about US$9 billion in annual revenue (and 300,000 jobs
associated with it). The Highway Trust Fund, which provides financing
for national road projects, says it already faces a US$3.4 billion
shortfall.

Moreover, the American Society of Civil Engineers reports that
investments in highway infrastructure facilitate huge economic
benefits. They project that every $1 invested in highways and roads
produces $5.40 in economic benefits from reduced congestion, improved
safety, enhanced fuel economy, and better vehicle maintenance.

Thus, eliminating or reducing petrol taxes will only lead to poorly
maintained roads, more accidents, fewer jobs, and the need for even
costlier investment later.

Given that 1.2 million are now killed in road crashes every year,
along with an additional 20 to 50 million injured, road accidents, and
the burden of death, disease, and injury they bring, are hardly
something we need more of. The healthcare costs of cutting petrol
taxes and investment in infrastructure alone could be staggering.

Second, eliminating petrol taxes encourages excess consumption and
erodes incentives to conserve fuel. One of the fundamental tenets of
economic theory, and perhaps common sense, is that consumers need
accurate price signals if they are to use resources properly. In the
case of petrol, a failure to include many of the external costs
associated with motor fuel usage - noxious particulate matter and
ozone emissions, climate change, noise, fuel shocks and price spikes,
degraded land, traffic congestion - already incentives drivers to use
more of it than they should.

Cutting taxes only muffles the price signal further, discouraging
consumers from seeking cleaner alternatives, encouraging the
over-consumption of oil and thus higher use and prices, and leading to
capacity developments and consumer patterns in excess of true needs.

No, removing petrol taxes will do little to mitigate the fundamental
factors behind rising oil prices: preferences for more and larger
cars, urban sprawl, billions of dollars in oil and petrol subsidies,
and the role that un-priced externalities play in the price disparity
of petroleum.

The tendency for acceptable responses to the problem of higher oil
prices to be limited to lowering taxes tells us how weak governments
have become, and how deep the problem goes. Years of truly colossal
profits for oil companies have given them the ability to erode
government capacity and regulation that counters their interests.

The US House of Representatives, for instance, tried to repeal US$22
billion worth of subsidies for the oil and gas industry in 2007 during
preliminary discussions of the Energy Independence and Security Act.
The senate squashed the idea, however, under direct threat of a veto
from the White House when finalising the bill. Some governments, it
appears, have little control over their own energy subsidies.

The fact that publics around the world are pressuring their
governments to reduce petrol taxes - but not to use less oil and
petrol , alter consumption patterns, research and develop alternative
modes of transportation, or eliminate profligate subsidies - tells us
just how difficult reducing our dependency on oil will be.

Take the bus, switch off those lights

ONE cannot help having this edge-of-the-cliff feeling that another
hike in fuel prices, and the customarily attendant rises in cost of
other goods and services, is inevitable. Facts are getting in the way
of our hopes.
Consider that the last increase for petrol, diesel and gas was in
March 2006, when prices went up 30 sen per litre. Crude oil then was
US$60 per barrel, and the government suggested that the fuel subsidy
was getting to be unsustainable.

Crude oil is now double that, and it is of course ridiculous and
irresponsible that fuel subsidy costs should eclipse national
development expenditures.

The higher fuel prices, inevitable as they may be, will touch people
in more ways than one, and for some more than others.

For many wage earners, while prices rise, their take-home money
remains the same. It is rather difficult to make sacrifices when the
essentials take up so much.
The issue for most people, away from the macro views of economists and
policy makers who opined from high up that unsustainable subsidies
must go, is how not to crack under the collective burden of a higher
cost of living.

Obviously sustainable social safety nets should be in place to make
sure that while all of us suffer the consequences of higher fuel
prices, no one should suffer excessively.

As much as it pains us to go through this period, we should try to
seize the opportunity to look for silver linings in these otherwise
gloomy days. There has to be one. We have to believe so, or else we
would just be like frogs basking in the afternoon sun.

For one, this represents a great opportunity to encourage energy
conservation and to promote the use of alternative sources of energy.
Higher tariffs for large consumption of electricity, and the use of
solar power, for instance, in street lighting, could be some of the
initiatives. Higher investment in renewable energy sources like hydro
power also looks to be more attractive.

The other, I believe, is the opportunity to develop an urban mass
transit system as a credible alternative to personal vehicles.

Hence, I am disappointed that the government decided to cut bus fare
subsidies for government-owned companies. It is plainly obvious that
the subsidy was small, perhaps even miniscule, compared to the amount
used to keep petroleum prices low.

In fact given the multiple benefits of mass transportation, from
unclogging roads to cutting fuel consumptions to keeping commuting
cost low, the government should have instead made public transport
cheaper, if not offered it at a token sum as part of public service.

It is a given fact that quality, efficient and affordable public
transportation systems the world over do not make money. They require
high investments, but yet offer slow and low returns. Ultimately only
governments, as part of their governing responsibilities, can operate
them.

Urban transportation services that are profitable have behind them a
high degree of government support, including subsidies or cheap loans.
There are also legislations such as high taxes on private vehicle
ownerships, or laws limiting their uses.

Transportation-related costs, including the cost of ownership and
maintenance, average at more than 30 per cent of a person's monthly
expenditure. Savings on fuel and other incidentals like parking and
tolls would return a substantial amount of money into our pockets.

Obviously our current transportation infrastructure is not even
adequate enough to entice some of us to consider leaving our cars at
home, the economic gains notwithstanding. Many of us, unfortunately,
by circumstances or design, do not take public transport. Many do not
even consider the possibility.

Perhaps we must not only be inspired to change our lifestyles, but we
should also be encouraged and legislated to do so. For sure, not many
of us willingly give up the privilege of using private vehicles.

Would a young upwardly-mobile executive or CEO be willing to ride the
bus or train?

Please do not scoff at the idea. This should be our ultimate aim if we
were really serious about promoting mass transportation and reducing
fuel consumption.

An efficient and affordable urban transportation is not a myth, but it
requires more than just more buses or trains. There has to be a
complex all-encompassing effort from legislation to incentives to
infrastructure.

We must win people over with convenience, savings and efficiency. We
must change perceptions so that riding the bus or trains is not seen
to be a sign of failure.

We should be looking at transportation issues because it is good for
us. We must begin the process of developing a new national energy
consumption initiative, in which urban mass transportation is a major
component.

We, however, do not want to hear of anyone suggesting that fuel prices
could be made lower, while hiding the facts that it would put us in
hock for the rest of our lives. It is cheap, opportunistic
politicking.

Let us also not bring up the issue of Petronas as if it is a spigot
that when turned on will answer to all our woes. That is
irresponsible. Let us forget about it, unless it is used for greater
good, and not to subsidise our thirst at the pump.

We now have an opportunity to change the landscape of our fuel
consumption, especially one that is related to urban transportation.
We should not be thinking of how to ride out the higher crude oil
prices now, since for all we know US$100 plus a barrel would be the
norm from now on.

We should also be looking at the issues because it would be good for
us.

Stressful week continued. Emotional post continued.

It was around 7 a.m when i feel i couldnt stand it anymore. Hours and hours sitting in front of my PC, finishing my Final Year Project. Lack of sleep, lack of rest. My life is a disaster lately. Please... please... owh please... time is running out...

Yesterday, Asrul called me, but the only thing i know is he told me he's on his way back from genting. The rest of the conversation=...... i dunno...... i couldn't remember what i said.... sori la Lat, aku xsedaq la... mamai2......

But this morning, the worst thing anyone could ever imagine. Around 7 a.m. I was waiting for my PC to download the result from browsershot that tested my web design based on several platform and resolutions. It took hours to finish. Then i lay my back on the floor for a while and the last thing i remember i was sms-ing mimmie. When i woke up few hours later, first thing to do is to call her. But she was pissed..... because i wrote someone else's name in the message. My god!!!! what happened? I checked my outbox, and it's true. Oh my...oh my..... im speechless. Mimmie was really pissed by that incident. I'm so sorry babe, I was unconscious, and i swear it was unintentional. I dunno how it happened.

I used to laugh watching my housemate talking while they're sleeping. I've no idea how it happened. Now i know, i learned, got served! 1st, those incident is possible, 2nd, it's a disaster when you exceed the limit, able to talk on the phone and able to type message while you're sleeping. 3rd, i'm a dead man because unconsciously typed a girl name in the message and send it to my girlfriend. But I was sleeping at that moment.

It may sounds like the stoopidiest excuse... Unacceptable, moron, crazy and foolish. But it's not even gonna be your last thing you can ever imagine of.

I dunno if mimmie could ever forgive me again. I wonder if anyone could. I know its wrong, big one! Sorry mimmie, sorry everyone........

Depression. Stressful week. I got another 2 weeks before i finish my study. I've received the Adults life invitation card. Am i ready for all the hurdles? God, please guide me. I am reading the Islamic Philosophy book and suddenly i stop and look at my future. Last nite i hang out at mamak with my friends, then i realize, we're discussing topics that we haven't touch about 3 years ago. "...kerja kat situ....time kerja.....nanti pi keja....." how i miss my childhood. Best kan jadi budak budak? bangun pagi makan, main, makan, nangis, tidoq, main, main dan main lagi.

Bulan depan birthday mak yang ke 49 tahun, ayah dah pun 59 tahun. My sister and bro-in-law skali dgn anak buah aku kat manchester. Abang aku, kak ipaq aku dgn Arif kat nilai. Adik aku kat Behrang. Abang aku sorang lagi kat kampung. Family...Family... jauh kan family aku semua. Saat paling best bila 1 family dapat kumpul. Last satu family kumpul kat Nilai sbb nak antaq kakak aku satu family pi Manchester. Time tu semua orang ada. Mak masak sedap2. Air jus tembikai. Nugget lagi. Eiman anak buah aku la yang paling kuat makan. Makan sampai nak muntah2. Itu memang tabiat dia, budak kecik lagi. Sekarang ni dah ok dah kot. Masa tu Eiman pakai baju Arif sebab baju Eiman semua dalam beg, sbb flight dia ke UK mlm tu. Aku sampai Nilai dengan Mimmie n bang Teh n adik aku agak petang dah sebab ada kelas pagi tu. Baru cukup korum. Seronok sangat masa tu. Everybody's there. Dan saat macam tu cuma lagi 3 tahun boleh rasa....lama kan?

Tiap kali sebelum balek ke shah alam mesti aku cium pipi mak dengan ayah aku. Memang dah jadi tabiat aku adik beradik dari kecik lagi. Dulu mak dgn ayah mesti tunduk sikit nak bagi anak2 depa cium pipi depa. Tapi sekarang semua dah besaq. Tapi tiap kali aku peluk mak dengan ayah, memang itu la saat yang paling bahagia. Tak tau macam mana nak cerita, tapi mak dengan ayah la kekasih aku dunia akhirat. Dulu masa kecik2, mak dengan ayah jaga kami disiplin gila. Balek sekolah makan, lepas tu trus siap2 nak pi mengaji pukul 2.30 ptg. Lepas balek mengaji mesti kena keluaq rumah pi beriadah, bersukan. tapi sampai pukul 6.30 saja. Sapa yang lebih mmg cari nahas. Malam semayang, lepas tu baca buku sampai pukul 10 mlm. tv? jangan harap la. Tapi itu la disiplin yang buat kami berjaya. Aku ingat lagi kadang2, mak panggil kami suruh baca quran, mak nak check tengok. suka sangat time tu. Dulu masa ayah ajaq aku semayang, time tu abang2 aku semua dah terer dah. Aku siap nangis2 lagi sebab xingat takbiratulihram. tapi alhamdulillah... sampai sekarang ingat lagi.

Sekarang ni mak biasa call around 8 p.m, tanya " hang semayang dak lagi?". Aku pun dengan segan duk jawab " dak lagi..satgi, ni nak pi ambik ayaq semayang la ni. tunggu beratoq kat bilik ayaq ni...." panjang saja aku jawab. Mimmie pernah cerita, ibu dia pesan, "sekarang ni korang mungkin rimas ibu selalu call, nnti ibu dah takde mesti korang teringat.." lebih kurang macam tu la. Ya Allah, panjangkanlah usia mak dengan ayahku, sihatkanlah tubuh badan mereka, berilah kejayaan kepadaku, moga aku dapat menggembirakan kedua orang tuaku. Amin. Selalu ka aku doa macam ni? Yang aku pasti, mak dengan ayah mesti tak pernah miss. Tiap kali nak exam mesti mak dgn ayah baca yasin, baca Quran. Setiap paper aku nak exam mesti mak ayah semayang hajat. Masa nak SPM anak2 dia, mak dengan ayah siap khatam satu Quran. Abang2 dgn kakak2 aku nak pi interview pun sama. Dulu aku sendiri tengok sejadah dengan Quran dalam pejabat ayah. Abang2 aku nak periksa, ayah dah standby sejadah dgn Quran dah.

Mak memang kuat. Sabaq, tabah.... mengadap perangai anak2 dia 5 orang. Dari kecik sampai besaq. Pesan mak.. "semayang la selalu, tu saja mak mintak, doa angpa anak2 mak. tu saja bekal buat mak". Cukup la air mata mak buat aku. Dah banyak dosa aku kat mak. Setitis air mata ibu, dosa yang kita tanggung ni, cuma tuhan yang tau. Biaq la mak nak menitis air mata tengok aku berjaya sudah la. Kecik2 dulu mak mandikan aku. Dah masuk sekolah rendah mak ajaq aku basuh baju, lipat baju, seterika baju. Mak kata senang berdikari. Nanti nak masuk asrama senang. Mesti dah tau buat semua benda. Tengok masuk tingkatan satu betoi duk asrama. Mula2 sekolah agama yan, ayah seronok sangat. Anak2 dia form 1 mesti masuk sekolah agama. tapi bila dapat tawaran MRSM, abang aku support sungguh2. Sampai ayah aku pun setuju. Jauh, Gerik. Aku baru form 1. Baligh pun belum. Jauh gila. Jalan nak pi sekolah pun boleh buat bang teh dengan adik aku muntah2. Seronok tengok mak dengan ayah masa tu. Walaupn kena keluaq duit banyak nak register sekolah tu, ayah tetap seronok. Siap bawak tok wan aku la masa register. Itu la last aku rasa tok wan aku jalan jauh pun. Ayah memang baik. Ayah selalu pesan hormat orang tua2. Tengok ayah jaga tok dengan tok wan, buat aku hormat mak dengan ayah aku lebih lagi.

Ayah kalau call aku mesti time dia kat pejabat, tgh keja, nak pi mesyuarat koperasi, kat bank. Bila besaq sikit baru aku perasan. Aku kalau bz sikit, dunia pun xingat. Tapi ayah nak mesyuarat pun boleh call anak2 dia lagi. Nanti bila ada anak sendiri baru terasa kot. Tengok abang aku yang gila bola pun slow down bila da ada family. Dulu aku ingat, ayah selalu bawak kami pi tengok bola. Darah bola tu mmg ada dalam semua anak laki dia. Aku ingat lagi ayah bawak pi stadium merdeka tengok sapa lawan pun aku xingat. Lepas tu bawak rombongan pi tengok final Kedah dengan Singapura. Time tu ayah bendahari KEPDA. Aku kecik lagi, masuk stadium pun selit2 xdak tiket pun. Paling seronok masa adik aku kecik lagi. Semua siap berlakon lagi kluaq rumah sebab xbagi dia ikut. Aku dengan abang aku siap keluaq ikut pintu belakang lagi. Tapi aku xingat bila last ayah bawak kami pi tengok bola n macam mana ayah bleh stop pi tengok bola.

Masa kecik paling best bila bulan posa. Ayah meniaga air tebu. Best sangat. Pagi ayah dgn abang aku duk cuci tebu kat belakang rumah. Petang kami pi meniaga ramai2 kat bazar ramadan. Seronok. Sampai la ayah juai mesin tebu tu kat sapa tak tau. Lagi pun time tu abang2 aku dah belajaq kat asrama dah.

Hurm... bestnya masa kecik2. Memang seronok. Aku jarang post guna bahasa melayu. tapi kali ni ada exclusion sebab aku mmg rindu family. Orang nak kata aku homesick ka, manja ka, go to hell la. Aku ada family, family aku best. Dari kecik sampai besaq best. Lawan wrestling sampai patah katil. Terpengaruh WCW sampai adik aku patah gigi kena wrestling dengan abang aku. : hanip, ang kalo xhensem ang claim kat bang teh. dia bagi gigi ang patah kecik2 dulu. : aku pnah eksiden sampai kepala berdarah. bang teh aku jugak yang bawak. seronok bila pikiaq2 balik. 5 beradik, 4 lelaki. Cuma mak ayah aku boleh handle. Main bola dalam rumah sampai pecah cermin baru berenti. Tapi dulu kan? Bila lagi la..... Tapi skang ni kalau cucu2 bagi pecah pasu, tok dengan tok wan mana marah. hahaha pak ngah, pak teh, pak su, pak tam, mak long la yang duk kena marah. "Pak su ni duk biaq ariff/eiman main sampai pecah pasu tok..." hahahaha
I miss my family. I luv my family.

Since i still have my parent, I would like to tell the world that i love my parent so much. They are the greatest parent in this world.

I got an email from my sister and i think i should share it with all of you.

Mr. Narayana Murthy is undoubtedly one of the most famous persons from
Karnataka. He is known not just for building the biggest IT Empire in India but
also for his simplicity. Almost every important dignitary visits InfoSys campus.
He delivered an interesting speech during an employee session with another IT
company in India. He is incidentally, one of the top 50 influential people of
Asia according to an Asiaweek publication and also the new IT Advisor to the
Thailand Prime Minister.

Extract of Mr. Narayana Murthy's Speech during Mentor Session:

I know people who work 12 hours a day, six days a week, or more. Some people do
so because of a work emergency where the long hours are only temporary. Other
people I know have put in these hours for years. I do not know if they are
working all these hours, but I do know they are in the office this long. Others
put in long office hours because they are addicted to the workplace.

Whatever the reason for putting in overtime, working long hours over the long
term is harmful to the person and to the organization. There are things managers
can do to change this for everyone's benefit. Being in the office long hours,
over long periods of time, makes way for potential errors.

My colleagues who are in the office long hours frequently make mistakes caused
by fatigue. Correcting these mistakes requires their time as well as the time
and energy of others. I have seen people work Tuesday through Friday to correct
mistakes made after 5 PM on Monday.

Another problem is that people who are in the office long hours are not pleasant
company. They often complain about other people (who are not working as hard);
they are irritable, or cranky, or even angry. Other people avoid them. Such
behaviour poses problems, where work goes much better when people work together
instead of avoiding one another.

As Managers, there are things we can do to help people leave the office. First
and foremost is to set the example and go home ourselves. I work with a manager
who chides people for working long hours. His words quickly lose their meaning
when he sends these chiding group e-mails with a time-stamp of 2 AM, Sunday.

Second is to encourage people to put some balance in their lives. For instance,
here is a guideline I find helpful:
1) Wake up, eat a good breakfast, and go to work.
2) Work hard and smart for eight or nine hours.
3) Go home.
4) Read the books/comics, watch a funny movie, dig in the dirt, play with your
kids, etc.
5) Eat well and sleep well.

This is called recreating. Doing steps 1, 3, 4, and 5 enable step 2. Working
regular hours and recreating daily are simple concepts. They are hard for some
of us because that requires 'personal change'. They are possible since we all
have the power to choose to do them.

In considering the issue of overtime, I am reminded of my oldest son. When he
was a toddler, if people were visiting the apartment, he would not fall asleep
no matter how long the visit was, and no matter what time of day it was. He
would fight off sleep until the visitors left. It was as if he was afraid that
he would miss some thing. Once our visitors' left, he would go to sleep. By this
time, however, he was over tired and would scream through half the night with
nightmares. He, my wife, and I, all paid the price for his fear of missing out.

Perhaps some people put in such long hours because they do not want to miss
anything when they leave the office. The trouble with this is that events will
never stop happening. That is life! Things happen 24 hours a day. Allowing for
little rest is not ultimately practical. So, take a nap. Things will happen
while you are asleep, but you will have the energy to catch up when you wake.

Kiter rasa nak telefon mak... nak cakap dengan mak....
anak mak yang ni dah tak betul kan ...????
Dan akhirnya dalam sedu sedan itu kiter telefon kampong...
Kiter cakap dengan kakak..kiter nangis lagi... Puas la kakak memujuk kiter...
Akak kata..." tak baik laa nangis aje..doa lah untuk mak..nanti kalau
gini ajer mak yang susah kat sana ..."
Dan akhirnya akak juga nangis..... Agaknya mak nampak adegan tu...
sebab malam jumaat kata orang roh balik rumahh... mengharap sedekah da ri anak2 nya...
Mak tau tak...di saat itu kerinduan terasa menusuk sehingga ke hulu hati...
rasa nyilu sangat... menusuk-nusuk sehingga terasa begitu sakit dalam dada ni....
Sampai sekarang bila kerinduan itu menjelma...hanya sedekah al-fatihah kiter berikan.....

We refer to the above critical matters in Malaysia but which generally gets the least attention locally even by the Opposition parties, Ngo’s, the Malaysian human rights commission and the media for this community is generally regarded as politically insignificant, do not draw local or international funding and are deemed not pressworthy. To the contrary the Malaysian government has successfully projected itself to the world as a modern Islamic thinking country which is not true.The ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia were brought in to Malaysia by the British some 200 over years ago. Since independence in 1957 the Malaysian Indians have been permanently colonialised by the Islamic fundamentalist and malay chauvinists UMNO led Malaysian government. Among the recent atrocities committed by this government are as follows:-

1. 100 over Indians were slashed and killed by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government in the Kampung Medan mini genocide. Despite numerous appeals, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission has refused to hold a Public Inquiry. The UMNO controlled Malaysian courts struck off a victim’s public interest civil suit for a Public Inquiry to be held without even the said UMNO controlled government having to file in their defence. The UMNO controlled Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police refused to investigate and / or initiate an inquest into the death of at least six Indians in this tragedy despite.

2. Every week one person at average is killed in a shot to kill policy and in every 2 weeks one person is killed in police custody. About 60% of these victims are Indians though they form only 8% of the Malaysian population.

3. In every three weeks one Hindu temple is demolished in Malaysia The latest being the demolishment of the Mariaman temple in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, Selangor early this morning (15.11.2007) and the next being the (Mutaiya) Hindu temple in Sungai Petani scheduled for the 29.11.2007. A violent armed pre down attack at 4.00a.m this morning was launched by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government backed by about 600 police, riot police, Islamic extremist and armed terrorists which completely destroyed this temple. In an attack two weeks ago, uniformed police, riot police and city Council officers hurled rocks and attacked unarmed Hindu devotees with knives, sticks and iron rods (see www.malaysiakini.com for pictures). At least 20 Hindu devotees were seriously injured and 19 arrested including 4 of their United Kingdom trained lawyers in direct violation of Article 5 (Right to life) Article 8 (Equality) Article 11 (Freedom of Religion) Section 295 (defiling a place of worship), Section 296 (disturbing a religious assembly), 298A(causing racial disharmony) and Section 441(criminal trespass) of the Malaysian Penal Code. These authorities are plagued by an above the law mindset and in fact liberally take the law into their own hands. These atrocities however does not happen to almost all Islamic places of worship. 4. State sponsored direct discrimination against the Indians in Public University intakes, Indian (Tamil) Schools, skills training institutes, civil service and private sector job opportunities, business and licence opportunities and in almost all other aspects of daily life.

Despite our hundreds of letters, appeals and pleas to the Malaysian King and Sultans, the Prime Minister, Attorney General, Inspector General of Police, Ministers, Chief Ministers and the latest being our letters to the Prime Minister dated 29.10.2007 and 30.10.2007 and to the Attorney General dated 1.11.2007 the Malaysian authorities are only proceeding with greater ferocity and with impunity with very little regard for the Federal Constitution and laws of Malaysia. So please help us.

CONCLUSION
We fear that this peace loving Indian community of Tamil origin having been pushed to the corner and the persecution getting worse by the day may be forced to into terrorism in a matter of time as what has happened to the Sri Lankan Tamils.

APPEAL
On our part we are committed to a peaceful and lawful struggle and pray and appeal that the Government of the United Kingdom:-
1. Moves an emergency United Nations resolution condemning these state sponsored atrocities and persecutions of Malaysian Indians in Malaysia.
2. Refers Malaysia to the World Court and the International Criminal Court for Crimes against it’s own ethnic minority Indians

I dont think it's too late to talk about this topic. BERSIH rally was held on 10th of November by non-goverment organization and opposition parties as they demand for a free and clean election which is known to be held early next year. This occasion get a wide broadcast from news channel and internet bloggers all over the world. Thousands of demonstrators marching to the King's palace to hand a memorandum demanding a clean election. This act cause a lot of controversies and various reports by various parties.

The intention is good, to gather and demand for free and fair general election, but i wont agree with the way they expressing their desire.It is not that good. The demonstration has caused negative coverage about our peace and free country. It has affect our freedom and harmonic country and also cause a lot of troubles to the citizen. Heavy traffic jam have been reported from early morning until late night. Shop have been closed and affect tourism industry in long term.

The demonstrators blame the authorities for not granting the permission for that occasion, numbers of road block that cause heavy traffic jam, forces against the demonstrators and many more while the authorities strike back as the demonstrators cause wild act and affected our peaceful country. Who's right and who's wrong? Who know?

I can say blaming and pointing each other is our culture and we love that. The Election Commission have stated that most of the content of the memorandum have been fulfilled to this general election and morally, i would say, nobody would satisfy with the next general election results. Those who lose in the election won't be satisfy and they will use the corruption as the reason for the result. It would never end. Never ever. Those who win the election would say the election is free and fair. That's the tradition.

So, who will gain benefit from all of this situation? TRY TO BE ONE!!!

I was called to write this issue after having my warm bali water at mamak last night. There's a bunch of guy riding "they think it's cool" kapcai and park nearby. They sit next to my table and waiting for more "rempits" to come and join them. I've never had bad impression about this so called rempit until last night. I just want to have a peaceful late night drink but they really pissed me off. I thought they're rude on road (as stated by the media) but also off road. They start distracting other customers and acting like a "samseng" at a peaceful restaurant. Come on, people go to mamak to eat, drink and socialize! Not to show how cocky or "cool" you are with your bike. No sound and air pollution are welcomed. Go somewhere else.

May be one day there would be Outlaw Championship for them so we can overcome their problem. Dont stop teenagers to express creativity, but guide them!! Its always gonna be my principle. So allow them, but with very strict regulation. The championship could test 'wheelie', 'stoppie' (weikang), and freestyle ability for each contestant. But they have to follow the safety regulation provided by the organizer. Motorsports are dangerous. But safety precaution taken would avoid unexpected consequences. Dont block them, dont isolate them. Transform their caziness into something that we can enjoy together.

Love your "motorcycle" is not a crime. Suicide is your problem. Dont drag others into your problems.

So, here's the guide on how to change diapers:

Changing a diaper is not like brain surgery, but there are some similarities. Both are delicate procedures in dealing with sensitive body parts - just at opposite ends of the body. 1. Open and unfold the new diaper. Lay the baby wearing his used diaper on top of a new diaper.

I think Malaysian knew about that car right after it's mystery advertisement. Well congratulation to PROTON for their new model. Its been really long i havent post anything in this blog. All because our rusty broadband connection and also my router. I've been so busy for a few weeks with a lot of jobs and responsibilities on my shoulder, which i hope i can finish all of them with all my strength.

Actually i'm still working on my latest features of this blog but there are a lot of hurdles past by which really test my patience. Along the way, I found this video on youtube titled "negarakuku". I thought it was mispelled by the sender, however it wasn't. I was typed negarakuku with concern of the sender to enlighten the title of the clip 'negarakuku'. IT IS INSULTING!!!! i'm not a racist. i'm just a typical malaysian who love this country and willing to do anything to protect this country.

FA CUP final review....

Its been so long after my last post before my long holiday. I was planned to do some changes to my blog but still cant settle with a few more features. May be it would take a longer time than i expected.

I get my chance to watch the Malaysian FA cup final between Kedah and Perlis at Stadium Batu Kawan which produce a lot of controversies in the newspapers. Yes, you should believe it. I dont know who should be responsible for the problems. I heard that Kedah Football Association have requested to host the Final at Stadium Darul Aman which closer to both fans. However FAM still want it to be play at Batu Kawan. There's where all the controversies started.

I went with my brother and cousins at 3 PM and arrived at Stadium Batu Kawan at 8 PM. 5 hours tiring journey which should only take 2 hours the most during normal trip. The traffic was tremendously jammed from Sungai Dua toll exit to the stadium. At 7 PM i've been informed that the player's busses was only behind us including some officials from both teams and FAM. They were escorted by polices and a few bikes from Penang. However they cant manage to escape from the tremendous traffic jam.

The problem for me is the stadium itself instead of unexpected traffic and poor event management. The Stadium only offers one entrance for visitors and the same path to exit which is totally not suitable to held a big event like FA Cup Final. When police and other local authorities cant handle the crowd, it make the problem became worse.

We finally made it just before the game started. Kedah and Perlis start their game with winning spirits. However i can see that Perlis control most of the ball at the first half and Kedah take the game just after the second half started. The scoreless 90 minutes drag the game to extra time and finally penalty shooutout decided the winner of the game. Helme won the Player of the Match after he block Perlis shot since the first minute untill the penalty shootout. After the game, i take my time to join the cup celebration with Kedah player and only can get home at 4.3o A.M. only after police ask us to exit using alternative Palm Estates. Luckily, Kedah won the title and make all of us to forgive them for all the troubles we faced.

Malaysia is one of the hosts for this year's AFC championship alongside Thailand and Indonesia. It is a great honor for us since we're celebrating our 50th independent day this year. Our football team should be motivated with our national spirit along this tournament.

FAM who was responsible for our football scene has promised a very competetive challenge from our national team this year after they've been criticised for their previous performance. FAM is very keen in planning our football future from Barcelona Squa to Olympic Squad, then the Gemilang Project and also World Cup 2014 target which for me will never succeed with current leadership in FAM.

5-0 defeat to Uzbekistan shows how poor our football quality are, and yet they still dont realize the situation of our football team. The team, players, and management should have a total 'make-over'. May be not by Maybeline, but our ministers. Let the experts do the job. Not politicians who never play football, and dont even know about the game. What else should we wait? Just resign and let the people who know the game lead the FAM.
